The conflict of Kashmir should be solved by democratic means

By

Abdul Hannan Siwani Nadvi
From last few weeks, Jammu and Kashmir in tense. Many youths have been killed in police firings. In today's police and CRPF firing, 4 youths have lost their lives. Despite slapping curfew, the situation is not turning towards normal. The publics are coming out on roads to register their demonstrations against the deaths of innocent youths killing in police firing.
How it's wonder that we are living in a democratic country, while in a part of this country the people are not allowed to express their anger.
Force, police and CRPF are being placed to security of the state and for protection of the citizens. If these security forces turns the killer instead to provide them protections, the fingers arises towards them.
Every Indian's heart weeps on the situation of Kashmir and on the people are suffering there.
We call ourselves a protector of democratic values while the people are scarifying their lives to get the freedom. It is necessary for the government of India to consider again on the use of excessive force against civilians and protestors. We cannot win the heart of people of Jammu & Kashmir on gun-point. To win their hearts, it is necessary for us to give them a chance to lessen what they want from us.
We are the protectors of democratic values, so that, we have to solve the conflict by democratic means. I hope that central and state governments would consider on this serious issue. Curfew, firing on protestors and using excessive force against civilians cannot be the part of solution.
