The nation is watching …….

By

Abdul Hannan Siwani Nadvi

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh vowed to punish all wrongdoers in 2G spectrum scam. According to him, some actions have been taken to prevent corruptions from happening again.

As a Prime Minister of India, Mr. Manmohan Singh what said, the people of India see a hope of success in bringing all those involved in this scam before the court.

As concerned citizens, the people of India still are waiting his response over the genocide that had taken place in Gujarat 8 years ago.

Regardless to express the pain of victims and the phenomenon they are facing there, the nation is looking toward his government for action that put the criminals and their supporters behind the bars.

The constitution has been made to punish the criminals and make sure that society is free from the rapists and killers.

If 2G spectrum scam brings bad name to India, the genocide of Gujarat is a blot on Indian forehead too.

The nation is watching what UPA government does in restoring the confidence among the victims.

Acquittal of Muslim youths a question mark on the system

By

Abdul Hannan Siwani Nadvi

Once again, seven Muslim boys who were arrested in terror charges in 2005, acquitted by a Delhi court here. Acquitting of Muslim boys from the terror charges and issuing the order of their release if it is a sigh of relief for entire Muslims, on the other hand, it is a question mark on the system that is busy in damaging the precious time of Muslim youths.

This is not a sole case, there are a lot of cases that proved Muslim boys innocence.

Continuous acquittal of Muslim youths from terror charges, if it confirms Muslim's stand on being implication of them falsely in terror activities, on the other side, it establishes a huge conspiracy of a particular group in damaging Muslim's portrait in the country in order to create the phenomenon that force the government, army, police and other trading and social companies feel fear at the time of appointing Muslim youths as an employee.

The question draws the attention of the country. Why courts refuse again and again to accept the story of police and its investigation over the involvement of Muslim youths in terror activities?

Why police, again and again be fails in convincing the court over its investigation of the involvement of youths?

Why courts in most terror cases find the story of police confirms no role of arrested youths in terrorism.

These questions need to be answered. Either the investigation conducted in improper direction or the pressure from outside leaded to their release? Or political backup or being from elite classes caused the acquittal of the accused?

Last two things are impossible, as the case is related to terrorism and the most accused are from poor families, even many of them have no much money to arrange the advocate who fight their cases in the court.

There remains one question which indicates towards police investigation. The person has little bit knowledge about law cannot deny the role of investigation in granting the punishment to the accused on the basis of investigation reports or acquitting of accused from the charges made against him.

The most important thing, continuous acquittal of Muslim youths by the various courts across the country didn't leave any effect on more arrest of Muslim youths.

Why the same story, specially, in terror cases, to be repeated? First, police arrest some Muslim youths as an accused or Master mind, report to be leaked into media houses on how arrested Muslim boys plotted the attacks and from where they got the explosives, the matter goes to court, where after some hearings that take 5, 10 or 15 years establishes innocence of arrested persons, police be fails in convincing the court of their involvement in terrorism, and finally court acquits the accused from all charges, and issues the order of their release.

Their acquittal and releasing fails to get the attention of media and the government. Neither media raises the question over role of police nor government takes any step to see the lapses and to punish the officers who implicated Muslim youths falsely.

The whole episode exposes a different story of harassment of Muslim community making it busy in issues to get no time to invite themselves into other activities.

What we say about it; is it a conspiracy to portrait Muslims as a distrust community? Or is it a part of system?

We see most important Muslim organization's precious time, money and energy is occupied in providing legal assistance to the accused that are unable to afford legal expenses.

These money and energy to which be spent on Muslim's development are being wasted on the ways that a part of a conspiracy.

AIMPLB is busy in handling the issue of Babri Masjid. Jamait-e- Ulama-e-Hind and other organizations are busy in providing legal assistance to arrested innocents in terror charges.

Such as, various Muslim and non-Muslim organizations are engaged in Gujarat to make sure the justice be delivered for the victims.

Like that, these major organizations are stranded in unwilling situation. Injustice with the power of the community and neglect of state and central government dragged the Muslim organizations into the matter.

Interestingly, UPA government didn't show itself any interest to look into the cases and the incidents to prevent Muslims from the harassment.

Indeed, entire Muslim community, by and large, is in shock due to languishing of their beloved one in jail. On the other hand, every eye chases Muslims in the country. Muslim students, job seekers, and the Muslims travel to abroad for looking a good job face extra investigation and caution by everyone, even Muslim families see them as suspects.

Despite of revelation and arrest of Hindutva terrorists leave no effects on watching Muslims as suspect.

I think Muslims are passing from a very critical time. Their remained leadership and their major organizations, instead of giving their attentions on other activities, like education, poverty and unification of the community to build political forces, Universities and other educational and health centers for the community are busy in taking out the future of the country from the prisons.

We hope no changes in the situation in coming days; because this kind of hostile system is continued from long times. Without interference of the government, there is no hope of any revolution in the system. Let us see, what happens in future and how Muslim community comes forward to defend itself in the future.
