Massacres, Law and the leaders

When I was studying in Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulema, at one time, my English teacher was delivering the lecture on history of massacres and injustice. In a reply of a question, that in today's world, such massacre is possible, he said that there is less possibility that any community or any nation to be punished collectively in today's atmosphere because Media is active, Human rights organizations have much powers and entire countries in the world are signed the charter of the United Nations to respect International Law and will check the violation of human rights if it occurs. If such incident takes place in any of the country, United Nations and other Human right organizations will take strong action to prevent such massacre. After that, years have passed, and one question always strikes my mind that was my teacher right? Is it possible that such incident should be stopped immediately? Nevertheless, some massacres proved that analyzing of my teacher was wrong and my doubts turned into reality.

After few years, in India, in 1992, Babri Mosque razed, the land for which Muslims made all sacrifices, had narrowed on them in all over India, in mostly city Muslims were fleeing to save their lives. Despite the activeness of Media and existing of Human rights organizations, Muslims in entire country were on target by the Hindu right wing activists and sometimes by the police. History tells that, entire culprits and offenders of the law still are free.

After this cold blooded murder of Indian constitution by a so-called political party and Hindutva activists, in 2002, once again entire world witnessed the pogrom of Gujarat. The then central government and State government of Gujarat played a Holy with Muslims blood to strengthened their vote banks. Everything was happening at this time, was being telecasted by Media as live, but what happened. Muslims butchered, their homes looted and set on fire. Everyone tried to save his life was put on fire. Majority of people who killed in this pogrom was Muslims and majority of people who killed in police firing was Muslims. However, what happened.

No need to say that, culprits where they gone, and why security forces turn blind eye from killers and rapists? They were free at the time of pogrom and they are now free to do more.

Leave it because it is the incident of a country. See on International level. George W. Bush attacked on Afghanistan to capture for one person. Ten years are about to complete and the massacres continue there. Same situation is in Iraq. Gorge W. Bush ignored all International rule and regulations. He and his administration themselves made laws and killed everyone who opposed it. United Nations was seen a paralyzed Institution.

Look towards Israel. 50 Years have passed, all countries, which signed charter of United Nations to respect International law, are mum on it. Even those countries and such Institutions give a free hand to Israel to do what it wants and it does accordingly. Sometimes seems that such laws and such countries exit on the map of the world to support Israel on its every massacre against Palestine.

Can be imagined that a whole nation is being put under seize for last 3 years and no one has brave to end it or to raise the voice. The people of all countries demonstrated to end this blockade but it continues because some countries of the world support it.

Recently, the world witnessed how Israeli forces raided on aid ships bound to Gaza and killed the volunteers. Powerful countries of the world only issued the condemnation press notes and nothing did except the people of the countries who are on roads for justice and to end seize of Gaza.

Entire world feels pain on sole an Israeli soldier that is under the custody of Hamas but they don't feel pain for ten thousand Palestinians are languishing in Israeli Jail.

It is not mean that law and order has met to its failure, or there is need to strength it with new recommendations. Law is same, even, there are so many opportunities to fix the law and place it with the will. Because, history tells that same law was applicable to punish offenders.

How can I believe that the law has lost its strength and creditability In India, while the same laws were applied fully against those who were suspects in 1993 bomb blasts? This is the Gujarat police, who were mute spectators in Gujarat pogrom 2002, solves bomb blast conspiracy, as Gujarat police claims, within a weak of its taking place and arrest so many suspects, how to be possible for them? Same laws were applicable in entire India against innocent Muslim youths to arrest and languishing them into jail because of false charges, while these same laws how were not applicable in punishing those who found in the pogrom against Muslims.

On International level, we find same theory. United Nations, which was mute spectator on the attack led by United States against Afghanistan and Iraq, and mute on every Israeli massacre against Palestine, even it seen a failed institution on failure to end Gaza seize slapped by Israel on Palestine for more than three years, can be seen very active in slapping every kind of ban on Iraq of Saddam. Now Iran's nuclear issue is on its table.

This history forces us to believe that on National and International level law and security agencies are working very well if they directed to do that. The problem is the leaders and politicians who play game every time and paralyze every Institution and Justice Department. These are the leaders whose criminal mind turned the world into hell.

Much these leaders discuss before Media and in television studio about Human Rights and respect of Law is only an eyewash. These leaders should have to change their attitudes and leave their violence and hatred game. The most of the problem the world facing it, is for them. When their words about Human rights, justice and democracy will turn into reality, remain to be seen, but until it, the world will be free of violence and the advocators of Human Rights and Democracy will sacrifice their greedy attitudes for a free world from their dominance is only a dream.
