Arrested innocent Muslim youths; are we feel their afflictions

By

Abdul Hannan Siwani Nadvi

Human being learns and gets experiences from every incident, and adventure takes place in the society. These incidents tell our maturity in dealing of it.

One of the incidents which got the attention of the world was occurred in Australia, where Indian youths were on target by some goons.

Indian Media called the attacks on Indian youths as racial attacks. Australian government was under extreme pressure to take severe step to prevent such assaults on Indian students who were living there.

Indian Media was continuous reporting every incident. Joint efforts of Australian government, Indian Media and Indian government helped to reduce these attacks but still every one is on alert to halt such attack if it occurs again.

This is the story of one incident in which Indians were on target outside the country. There is one thing which is missed by all of us. There is one incident is also related to Indian students and youths, but the place of incident, assaulters, and the handlers of these Indians are different. This time this incident never took place in Australia or in any other country. It happened in India itself. The assaulters are not outsiders; these are our own security agencies.

There is the incident related to thousands of Indian youths who are facing brutal torture in the custody of security agencies.

Their crime is not serious, but the crime in which their arrests have been made is serious. Their innocence has become a giant enemy against them.

The advocates, who have been hired for them by some Muslim organizations, are not trying to get them free from the grip of law or from stern punishment, but their efforts are to defend them in the court to prove their innocence and to could prove that the incident or crime in which their arrest has been made is not carried out by them.

Pleads, cries, pain and afflictions of these innocent youths, and accidentally all are Indians, who have been picked up by the security agencies on suspicious basis, are not worthy for others. No one is ready to lessen their innocence. Being a Muslim is enough to understand the gravity of their crime.

Is Indian Media, Central and State governments of India played any role in preventing of those Muslim youths who are rotting in jails and facing brutal and inhuman torture by our security agencies, such as the matter of Indian students handled by the government.

Youths, whether they are in Australia or in India and what is their identity, are paramount, strength and power of every nation and for every country. These youths set the future of nation and future of the country. Time takes u-turn, but these are the youths who transpose the countries’ fate by their own extraordinary powers.

I want to ask from UPA government that, what is the future of those young boys and youths who want to do something for the country and for the nation but their dream remains a dream when the protectors of law arrest them, torture them and force them to say as they want from them.

Their dream, love for the country, respect of constitution and an excitement to lay down their precious life for the country, have been crushed, when they find themselves in a hell where law becomes helpless and protectors of law turns into brokers of law and treat them as animals, though, in so-called educated society animals have the right too.

It is noted that Salman Khan, famous film actor, has spent some nights in jail due to his involvement in killing of an animal.

The story of Ehtesham Qutub, which appeared in “The Milli Gazette” and later published in other online Newspapers, and other youths, like Ehtesham, who are languishing in a dark chamber, is asking us as what is the worth of law, judiciary and humanity.

They find themselves under an enemy country where they are being reminded as what is happening with them is because of being a Muslim.

It is not as our Prime Minister, Chief Ministers, Defense Minister and others in the government are unaware about this kind of injustice and prejudice situations in which Muslim youth’s precious time and their dreams to serve their community and country are being shattered.

They are on high posts due to having extra knowledge, however effective and adequate steps never taken to counter communalism and inequality with Muslim youths who forced to live in jail as prisoners instead to take education and live as concerned citizens.

This kind of incidents could be stopped. Guidelines and severe instructions to the police department can be issued as well as stern punishment could be taken against those who violate such orders and instructions. But these things would take place when central and state governments show its interests and will take severe steps to prevent such brutalities against innocent Muslim youths.

These jailed Muslim youths are looking toward us with a hope as we will do something for them, and will prevent them from this hell, alas; there is nothing effective steps to restore their relies on constitutions.

Conferences have been organized only on terrorism, but nothing happened to those who are facing shame and humiliations in the name of terrorism.

To counter terrorism, Qura’anic verses used as how Islam and Qura’an denounce terrorism but there are no references of any Qura’anic verse which denounces and condemns humiliations of human beings, whether they are criminals.

Youths are our future. Youths are our strength. Muslims, as a community and India as a country cannot survive without them. Older people only can guide us and can give us the advices but the youths who make the future bright, bring the honor and dignity to the country.

The political parties and Muslim organizations have forgotten them. Human Rights organizations surely released some statements over this torture and miss-behavior, but they unable to take effective and extreme proposals in order to could save the life of those innocents who are in jail.

As soon as one acquitted, the news comes from another part of India that another one arrested. This situation is going on. Just only the nature of arrest changes every time.

Needless to say that how these youths are serving for the country. Their story tells their sacrifices against communal system. If anyone has doubt, visit Jails, read stories of torture and see that how their life has been made hell for them.

These strengths, powers and future of the country are wasting in jails and in the hand of police.

It is unfortunate of India that real terrorists and bomb makers are living freely in the society, but the innocents and the future of the country are being wasted in jails.

When an innocent Muslim youth falls in the hand of police, I think that India has lost its one and great protector who can give up his life for the sake of the country but never will go against the country and community.

This is the duty of Milli organizations to hold a conference on this issue and use all resources to bring justice for these youths who are a victim of communal system of the country.
