The world hates Osama; but, why?

By

Abdul Hannan Siwani Nadvi

Osama is no more in the world. He has been killed in Abbottabad, Pakistan, in an attack led by special American unit that was trained for that work, as US claims.

It was greatest and historical moment for some parts of the world when they heard Obama's statement that Osama Bin Ladin has killed and justice has been done.

The world celebrated his killing and it now feels more secure and safe. The world has no reason to know why; when; and how he killed?

A few section expressed its concern over killing of this person, who was most dreaded person in the annals of terrorism; as it is claimed.

It is true; a few love him and most hate him. Those, who love him, have reasons, and those, who hate him, have evidences and proofs that establish his crime.

His thought and opinion whether it was wrong or right, the world has to decide it; what it thinks about it. However, there is a question; we hate Osama, but why?

US claims Osama is behind the 9/11 attacks, it is another thing various American writers and social activists still see doubts in Osama's hand in 9/11 attack. The world also is waiting evidences that establish Osama's role in this attack. There was one option to reveal the truth, Osama to be presented before the court where evidences reveal how he prepared himself for this attack.

Former Afghan government led by Taliban sought evidences from US of Osama's involvement that were later rejected by Bush administration, and finally, it came under US attack which is still hunting Taliban in Afghanistan.

The world, however, accepted Osama's involvement, not because Osama was involved, but because US claimed that Osama was behind the attack.

There is another question; killing of Osama by American forces, celebrating of Americans over his assassination and offering congratulations by US to his own people over this great job is understandable. Because Osama had attacked on America; he had killed Americans; so America killed him. But; why entire world celebrated over his assassination; why people fear to express his opinion in support of him?

The reason is very clear; because, the God of world might be anger. US could cancel the aid which it gives to various countries. US could slap sanctions because they supported terrorists. So, everything was possible. So, why various countries will handover themselves into trouble; they know very well that supporting of Osama cannot bring any advantages for them, while supporting of US can bring more US aid in their countries.

We hate Osama because he selected wrong path; as people say. He killed civilians; as US claims. There is a question. Who did not use the violence?

In every country, we could find leaders who used violence and killed thousands of civilians just for political reasons.

The world knows very well who used violence as a weapon to extend its wings across the world.

Osama was not only the merchant of death. Every society has thousands merchants of death in the garb of politicians, reformists, and so on.

The world, which is celebrating of killing of one person, never expressed its concern over killing of millions ordinary people, who either have been murdered by US air strike or died in hospitals due to serious injuries and those who escaped from dying, are facing brutal dilemma in their life.

No one asked from US how many terrorists have been killed, while thousands of civilians beheaded in drone attacks in tribal areas of Pakistan.

Thousands of civilians had been killed in terrorist attacks of LTTE in Sri Lanka since 1980s to May 1999.

According to a report, “the LTTE is notorious for having pioneered the suicide bomb jacket, as well as the use of women in suicide attacks. They are blamed for a dozen high-level assassinations, over two hundred suicide attacks, and its war against the government has cost more than seventy thousand lives” (http://www.cfr.org/terrorist-organizations)

But, no any drone had been sent to Sri Lanka to kill Parbhakaran. And he was not most wanted person in the world. The reason is very clear; US didn't call him a dangerous person, so why world will say that he is most dangerous person in the world?

These things show; what Osama did is not important before the world. The most important thing is who called Osama a terrorist.

If millions killed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Lebanon, Somalia, Chechnya, so what happened. Their killing is not more important. The important is the relation between US and other countries.

Most countries in the world get millions dollars as an aid every year from US, so why they will wish to speak against killing of civilians; while supporting of US and being the part of its allies in killing civilians; might increase more aid and favor from US.

Few decades ago, when Afghans were fighting with Soviets in their homeland; US called them Mujahid; US supported them and Osama too; at that time Osama and his colleagues were Mujahid because US had claiming; and what US said how world can refuse it. So, Osama was a Mujahid in entire world. But, few decades later, the situation changed completely.

This time, Osama is not a Mujahid, He is a terrorist, because US says; how world can refuse it, so, he is a terrorist in entire glob; because US says.

I think; who are terrorists and who are not; the world has no relation with them. The most important thing, who called them a terrorist?

US says Osama is a terrorist, so, he is a terrorist for all of us and that's it.
