Security and safety is a core issue of Muslims in India

It is still a large issue in Muslim community in India that Quota or reservation whether it is necessary for Muslims or not. If a class rejects it, other once supports it, both have their own logics, reasons and argumentation. The class, who is in favor of Muslim's reservation, says that Muslim backwardness can be removed by it, and the second one, who rejects it, says that Muslim community can't move forward with only reservation. Moulana Kalbe Sadiq, a prominent Shia cleric, said in a public convention that, “no community can move forward on crutches, we need to instill life in it”.
After all, it is very interesting and serious subject in Muslim community in India. I think, reservation to Muslims is not a main issue. Instead to be wasted the energy on it, Muslims should have to learn that security, a free society from religious hatred and free society from communal route are very basic needs for Muslim community in India, because security, guaranty of safety of life, jobs and shops play a key role in developing of any nation, or community or the country.
Qura'an also indicates towards it. Qura'an says, “When we made the house (the Ka'aba at Makkah) a place of resort and a place of safety” (Surah Al-Baqrah 125), in this chapter, Qura'an after making a place of resort mentioned a place of safety because safety is the first step of development.
Such as, when Hazart Ibrahim (A. S) began to build the Ka'aba at Makkah, he says to Allah, “My Allah, make this city (Makkah) a place of security” and then after, Hazrat Ibrahim says “and provides its people with fruits”, means security is the life of development. If any community finds all ways of development, but there is no security and no safety, so certainly this community will be failed in achieving a better future.
In India where the Majority of Muslims are poor and believed a minority community, security and safety is a big issue before them.
Regardless to say that, how much Muslims actually affected by the violence against them in all over India during 53 years of an independent India, but we can say with full confidence that such violence pushed them back hundred years ago. The latest example of Muslims of Gujarat where they collectively targeted by Hindutva terrorism where majority of them still are living in camps or in slums. Fear and terror can be read very easily on their face.
In this situation, if we tell them that government is agreed to provide them reservations and Quota so it will be a big mockery with the situation they are suffering there.
I have no regrets to say that communal terror is a big threat to Muslim's progress in India. We know that the various governments are doing their best to prevent such communal terrorism, but the Muslims are only losers if it takes place and police turned to mute spectator or go on rampage only against Muslims.
Reservation is not a big issue and backwardness of Muslims, is not only that they are not getting reservations or Quota. There are so many reasons of Muslim backwardness across India. Muslim leaderships have to find out it first and then take a look on the real reasons are affecting Muslim community directly.
If Muslim leadership succeeded to trace it and managed in bringing the government into the confidence regarding communal terror that has been permeated into Indian society completely and got the ways to prevent Muslims from the effects of it, it would mean that Muslim leadership solved a big issue of their backwardness, because safety and security is a key of an advancement for any country or community.
